Dear friends and cherished customers,
Unfortunately, it is with much regret and genuine sadness that I feel the need to inform you of my decision to close Anise.
This decision has not been an easy one for me to make and one I have spent many weeks worrying about.
For the past two years I have had the honour of being the proprietor and sole chef here at Anise.
This has required me to work every day of the week, from dusk till dawn with no days off!!
It’s such a small establishment that if I’m not about we can’t maintain the standards.
With this in mind, physically I think I’m due some time off.
I would like to express my gratitude for all the support that you, my customers have given me.
I have been extremely touched by your many kind comments and your encouraging reviews that have kept us at #1 on trip advisor for the last ten month.
That has sincerely been my greatest achievement, so I thank you so much x
I have been truly humbled by the loyalty that so many of you have showed me by becoming such regulars and friends.
A big shout out is needed to my maitre’d extraordinaire Kamil!!
What an amazing job the fella has done these couple of years.
The restaurant will be open as usual on Sunday 22nd December as usual but only be open for New Year’s Eve and then we have a couple of private functions in January that we intend to honour.
Finally I would like to thank everyone bloody single one of you for your custom and support.
With all my heart I hope one day I will be able to cook for you once again.
